At Health Bank One™, we believe in making patient empowerment easy—not burdensome. That's why we’re excited to introduce a new operating model designed to meet patients where they are—Assisted Mode.

With Assisted Mode, our partners can help patients access and share their medical records without requiring the patient to download an app. This model streamlines access while preserving the highest levels of security and patient consent.

How It Works

Example Health Bank QR code on partner marketing materials

Partners invite patients via a QR code in their marketing materials. Patients receive a secure link and enroll directly through their mobile device without the need to download and install an app. The enrollment process takes less than 60 seconds for the patient to complete and doesn’t require them to fill out exhausting online forms. The experience includes:

  • Biometric-based liveness checks

  • Capture and verification of a government-issued ID

  • Consent from the patient for a partner to access and order medical records on their behalf

Once enrollment is complete, the partner can initiate and manage the record orders on the patient’s behalf—reducing friction while maintaining patient control.

Patient-Centered Shouldn’t Mean Patient-Onerous

In traditional models, the burden of managing medical records often falls squarely on the patient—tracking down providers, filling out forms, and manually sharing files.

We’re flipping the script.

Health Bank One’s Assisted Mode enables a trusted partner to handle the work while still putting the patient in the driver’s seat. It’s care collaboration without the complexity.

Why It Matters

  • For Patients: They stay in control without needing to manage every step themselves.

  • For Partners: Whether you need medical records or not, Assisted Mode provides a fast, secure way to onboard patients without building your own identity infrastructure. You benefit from:

    • Verified digital identity using biometric and government ID checks

    • Seamless process for ordering patient medical records from all providers

    • Data access requirements designed to comply with HIPAA and the Cures Act

  • For Healthcare Innovation: Lowering the barrier to patient participation allows organizations to focus on care delivery and insights—not paperwork and red tape.

FAQs

Q: Does the patient still control who sees their records?

A: Yes. The patient explicitly authorizes the partner before any records are accessed or shared. Nothing happens without their consent.

Q: Is Assisted Mode secure?

A: Absolutely. We use biometric liveness checks and government ID verification—the same security standards we use in our mobile app, adapted for the web.

Q: Can the patient still use the full Health Bank One app later?

A: Yes. They can download the Health Bank One app at any time for secure access to their medical records as well as additional features like Care Guide™ to provide insights and answer medical questions.

Q: Who is Assisted Mode ideal for?

A: Research organizations, remote care providers, chronic care coordinators, and any partner who wants to reduce friction in onboarding and data access.
